VIDEO CONTEST RULES
Releases – If you are submitting a video of a minor other than one for whom you are a parent or legal guardian, you must first obtain the consent of their parent or legal guardian to submit the video. By submitting the video, you represent and warrant that you have such consent and that our use of the video will not violate the rights of any third party, including but not limited to rights of privacy, publicity, copyright or contractual rights. If you did not personally take the video, you should ask the person who took the video for permission to submit it as well.
By submitting the video, you also represent and warrant that the video, and its display on the Site shall not violate any law or regulation, including but not limited to those dealing with the abuse and exploitation of children. You agree to refrain from posting any obscene or pornographic content. No submission of content will violate any rights of, or cause any injury to, any person or entity. We do not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of the content you provide and do not have any obligation to monitor this. Grandparents.com will remove any submission inconsistent that violates any of the above. Entries inconsistent with contest theme will also be deleted.
Start Dates – Videos will be accepted starting January 5, 2011, at 12am EST
Due Dates – Videos will be accepted until February 27, 2012, at 11:59pm EST
Unfortunately, we will not be able to verify that we have received your video. Grandparents.com is not responsible for lost applications.
Application Materials – All videos you send will be retained by Grandparents.com, and become the property of Grandparents.com and will not be returned to you regardless for whether your video is selected. You may nominate as many videos as you like. All decisions of Grandparents.com are final and absolute and not subject to inquiry. Any video submitted may be posted on the Site and displayed to other visitors. Such visitors may be asked to evaluate submitted videos and/or provide numerical or descriptive grades. Grandparents.com assumes absolutely no responsibility for such evaluations or grading.
Any expenses you incur during the application process are your sole responsibility. Grandparents.com will not reimburse you for these expenses. Selection Process – The Producer and Program Entities have sole and absolute discretion in picking participants. The prize for being selected will be a $100 savings bond and your video appearing on Grandparents.com, by itself or as part of a montage.
By submitting your video, you hereby agree that you have read and understand the Eligibility Requirements. You further acknowledge that if your video is selected, you may be required to complete and sign additional application materials, release forms and other documents. The Producer and Program Entities may use the information in these forms for any purpose in their sole discretion.
PROCEDURES REGARDING UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VIDEOGRAPHS POSTED ON THE SITE
If a video or other representation of your likeness (or someone to whom you are a parent or legal guardian) is posted on the Site without your permission, please go to the page where you saw the video and click on the link that says "Flag As Inappropriate" and copy down the flag number provided. Then click here to report the unauthorized use of your image.
