If you witness physical abuse or any other kind definitely discuss it with your son or daughter. Also if the child confides in you. If it continues report it.

I have a granddaughter who is six and a half and she is a happy child, very active. She is great in studies and is sometimes called the star student. Her mother has very strict rules for her . The dad works in a senior position and works late hours . I hear the mom "helping" her with homework and it turns into a shouting frenzy. The child gets stressed , the mom gets angrier and then loud voices . There are times she slaps the child very hard on the face. The child is belittled and I am helpless to intervene. The mom is not my daughter . I need some advice .

I have a granddaughter who is eight and she is a happy child, very active. She had ballet , dance recitals . She does have problems reading and she mumbles a lot. The mom is a perfectionist and has very strict rules for her . The dad is not in her life . I hear the mom "helping" her with homework and it turnes into a shouting frenzy. The child gets stressed , the mom gets angrier and then loud voices . The child is belittled and I am helpless to intervene. The mom is not my daughter . I need some advice .
