I have 12 grandchildren ( step and biological) and all of them call call me Nana, except for one. He's almost 21 months old and insist on calling me dada. He calls everyone else by their names , grandpa, pawpaw, grandma( his paternal grandmother), grannie ( my mom) and the list goes on. But for some reason I'm dada. Whenever someone says, " say nana". He'll say, " uh uh", dada. I love it.
CUTE NAMES, MY GRAND DAUGHTER IS ADOPTED AND WANTED TO KNOW WHAT i WANTED TO BE CALLED. i ANS Granny. AND GRANPA IS JUST THAT GRANPA
My step grandchildren treat me no different than any of their other grandparents, as a matter of fact even better than some. They have a lot of grandparents (4 sets) and have come up with different names for us all. I am gramma or G-Ma and my husband is grampa or G-Pa. We love them both very much. They can call us anything they want as long as it is respectful.
My grandkyds call me Maga, when the first one was young and trying to say Grandma it came out Maga and I liked it alot. Plus it didn't make me feel old enough to be Grandma. So now all 14 of them call me Maga.
