I'm not a grandparent, or 50+. Can I still join Grandparents.com?
Absolutely! The membership association of Grandparents.com is known as the AGA, and anyone can join as either a free or premium member. You must be at least 18+ to join. Benefits of premium membership and general site functionalities are all void where prohibited. You must be a US resident to make use of premium benefits. Not all benefits are available in all US locations.

What if I forgot my password or I would just like a new password?
Go to the login page on Grandparents.com and click the link below the Password field that says "Forgot your password?" This will generate an email to you that contains a link and instructions to create a new password. If you are already logged in, please log out and visit here.

I would like to edit which newsletters I receive, or unsubscribe from the newsletters entirely. How do I do so? 
We’re sorry to see you go! But if you want to unsubscribe from AGA/Grandparents.com newsletters, open any Grandparents.com/AGA newsletter, and click the “edit your email preferences” link in the footer of the newsletter. Follow the directions to unsubscribe, or to simply adjust your preferences regarding which types of newsletters you would like to receive from the options listed.

When I try to log in, I get a message that says my password/username is incorrect. Why does this happen?
Try typing in the password again. It's possible that a letter or number was entered incorrectly. If you have forgotten your password and/or you would like a new one assigned to you, click here. It is also possible that you entered the incorrect username or email address. If using your username, keep in mind that it is case sensitive. If using your email address, be sure you are using the email address associated with your account. If using your email address, you might also try using your username instead. If none of these options work, you may have forgotten to register at Grandparents.com/register .

When I try to retrieve my password, I get a message that says that my e-mail address does not match any accounts at Grandparents.com. Why does this happen?
Try typing in a different e-mail address. It's possible that you entered an email address which is not the one you used to create your account.

That didn't work. What now?
It's possible that you are a Grandparents.com newsletter subscriber-only, and have not yet created a full Grandparents.com account. To create an account, click "Sign Up" at the top of any page on Grandparents.com.

When I try to retrieve my password, I get a message that says an email has been sent. I never receive the email. Why does this happen?

Please check both your inbox and spam folders. It's possible the message wound up in your spam folder by mistake. If you entered an email address that is different than your email address associated with you account you would also not receive the email. Please be sure that you are entering the email address associated with your account. If you have not yet signed up with any email address, you may do so at Grandparents.com/register .

I'll be changing email addresses soon, or would like to change which of my email addresses is associated with my account. How do I update my email address?
Please simply send an email to help@grandparents.com - with your old email address, your new email address, and your full name. Please send this email from your 'old' email address.

More information on/ how can I enter giveaways?
To enter a Grand Giveaway, all you need to do is sign up for either a free or paid membership to the AGA. To register, go to Grandparents.com/register. Be sure to read the fine print at the bottom of each giveaway, which details which regional areas are eligible to enter, age restrictions, etc. Be sure to check back often, as this section is updated regularly with more great giveaways. Plus, when you become an AGA member, you also gain access to the Grandparents.com Community, where you can comment on articles and connect with other members in our forums and blogs. Must be 18+ to enter. Entries limited to one per person.Giveaways are void where prohibited - explicitly stated or otherwise.

How can I create a username to comment on articles and participate in the Community anonymously?
Go to Grandparents.com/profile. If you are already logged in, you will see the profile page where you can create an anonymous username. If you are not logged in, it will prompt you to log in and then you will see your profile page where you can update your username. Note: you must be a member, free or premium, to "comment" on Grandparents.com content.

I commented on an article and/or in the Community section. I then realized that my email address is displayed at the bottom, because my username / screenname is set as my email address. What do I do?
Go to Grandparents.com/profile. There, you can change your username to something anonymous. This username will, from then onward, appear at the bottom of your comments. This change will also effect your former posts in community. It will not effect former comments made on articles, or any instances in which another member mentions your email address or quotes your message. You can delete your message yourself, if posted in the community section. If you need to delete a comment that you made on an article, or need further help with this issue, please email us at help@grandparents.com .

How do I simply update my account profile information?
You may update your account profile information by going to the profile page located at Grandparents.com/profile. On that page, you can update everything from username to address.If you are already logged in, you will see the profile page where you can create an anonymous username.  If you are not logged in, it will prompt you to log in and then you can click on your username in the top right corner to view your profile page.

When I visit an article, I can not seem to move passed the first slide in a slideshow. Can you help?
Please try switching browsers. For example, if you are using Google Chrome, try Internet Explorer, and vice-versa.

What is the AGA/Why should I join the AGA?
The American Grandparents Association is Grandparents.com’s membership organization dedicated to providing information, products and services to people 50 and over. What does AGA stand for?

How is the AGA different from Grandparents.com?
The AGA or American Grandparents Association is the membership association for Grandparents.com. Grandparents.com offers great content, forums and giveaways on our web site. The AGA offers members premium benefits including discounts and deals on shopping, travel, healthcare and other services.

How much does the AGA cost to join?  
It's free to join the AGA, but our premium membership—which comes with discounts on shopping, travel, entertainment, health insurance and more—costs $15 per year. Benefits of premium membership are void where prohibited. You must be a US resident to make use of premium benefits. Not all benefits are available in all US locations.

What are the different levels of membership within the AGA?
There are two levels of AGA membership (must be 18+ to join on either level):

  • Basic Membership: Join for free by registering with your name and email address, and you'll become part of the AGA community, which gives you access to exclusive giveaways on Grandparents.com and allows you to interact with other members in the Grandparents.com Community forums. Functionalities void where prohibited.
  • Premium Membership: For just $15 per year, Premium Members gain access to exclusive benefits including an ever-growing collection of discounts and deals on shopping, travel, entertainment and more, and special group rates on insurance products and other services. Benefits of premium membership are void where prohibited. You must be a US resident to make use of premium benefits. Not all benefits are available in all US locations.

With both the Basic Membership and the Premium Membership you can register your spouse for free when you sign up.

Who is eligible to join/ I'm not a grandparent, can I still join the AGA?
Yes, everyone is welcome to join the AGA! Content focuses primarily on grandparents and boomers, and benefits are available for premium members. You must be 18+ to join. Benefits et al. are void where prohibited. You must be a US resident to make use of premium benefits. Not all benefits are available in all US locations.

I go to Grandparents.com all the time. Am I a member of the AGA?
Just visiting the website doesn’t make you a member, but you can join for free! If you already have login credentials, meaning you can sign up for giveaways on Grandparents.com and can comment on articles, you are a member of the AGA. I can check your status for you and tell you whether or not you are a member of the AGA, have a free membership or a premium membership. Benefits, giveaways, et al. are void where prohibited.

Where can I locate my AGA member number?
You can locate it on your profile page at Grandparents.com/profile. Your member ID is also included in the welcome email you receive after registering for an AGA membership.  If you have additional questions, send an email to help@grandparents.com.

I am having trouble accessing my Premium Membership benefits, what should I do?
If you're having problems with your Premium Membership benefits, send an email to help@grandparents.com. They are ready and waiting to troubleshoot for you and will typically answer your email within 24 hours, during regular business days.

I don't want my Premium Membership anymore, how can I be a free member?
You can cancel your Premium Membership and be a free member by emailing help@grandparents.com. But did you know, with a premium membership, you also receive access to the AGA community forums, plus a series of premium member advantages, including an ever-growing collection of discounts and deals on shopping, travel, entertainment, and special group rates on insurance products and other services?

I want to update my billing information, where can I do this?
Go to your Grandparents.com profile page at Grandparents.com/profile Click the blue "Edit" button next to where it says "My Profile", then change any information you want, and finish by clicking "Save changes". To update aspects of your billing information that is not available for edit, please let us assist you - email help@grandparents.com.
