I feel so ashamed. I am equally guilty. Texting has made things worse. This has to be a concious decision. I concur with the situation in our latter day schools.....deplorable

I strongly agree with the previous two reviewers. The errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation chill me to the bone. I find these errors both on the Internet and in printed newspapers. I assume that most of what I find are items written by adults, who have been out of school for a very long time. Additionally, a vast amount of e-books are published, apparently without editing. Most of these authors are charging readers for books full of errors of every kind. My daughter is an English teacher. She says that many of the basics are just not being taught in the lower grades, as they were years ago. Some schools are not even teaching kids cursive writing anymore. I can't help but wonder where our educational system is going.

Some worse offenders: "your" for you're or you are, "I seen" for I saw, we saw etc., "pitcher" for picture
