What started as a simple, French market coffee stand in 1862, is now a world-renowned brand and franchise with eight locations in New Orleans. Café Du Monde serves traditional, dark-roasted coffee and chicory, with their creamy pralines and delicious Beignets. Beignets are pieces of deep-fried, powered sugar coated dough. It’s sort of like a French doughnut. Café Du Monde even has a beignet mix that families can take back home.
