How To Play 20 Questions

What is the other person thinking? You have 20 questions to figure it out.

by Zachary Collinger

requires
At least 4 people, split into even numbered teams

game play
The game begins by designating an answerer; the remaining players are questioners. The answerer silently selects a person, place, or thing and keeps it to himself. The questioners each take turns asking a question, which the answerer must respond to with a simple "Yes" or "No." Sample questions could be anything: "Is it an animal?" or, "Is it bigger than a toaster?" — any question that will help the questioner deduce the answer. If a questioner guesses the correct answer, that questioner wins and becomes the answerer for the next round. If 20 questions are asked without a correct guess, then the answerer has stumped the questioners and gets to be the answerer for another round.

objective
Use the powers of deduction — arm yourself with 20 questions to find the one answer.

diversify the y/n
Add a Maybe, or Sometimes. If the answerer has chosen "paper" as the clue, and the questioners ask, "is it square?" the response is not as simple as "Yes" or "No."
