When trying to have a conversation with your grandchildren, especially those approaching or in the tween/teen years, do you ever feel awkward, tongue-tied, or suddenly shy? Relax. It's normal to feel that way around kids sometimes, especially if you see them infrequently. But you don't need to suffer through painful silences or perform circus tricks to get a conversation off the ground. Try these icebreakers instead.
