Dress Me Jacket

For granddaughters, this jacket is as much fun to personalize as it is stylish

by Phoebe Assenza
Age: 3-8 Retail Price: $60
Available at: dressmejackets.com

When crafty mom Lindsay Markell set out to make her daughter's denim jacket a little girlier, she unwittingly created a product that other moms, including her future business partner, would ask about on the street. Girls love the Dress Me Jacket for two reasons: First, they can mix-and-match a range of velcro hairdos, headpieces, and dresses, and attach them to the fabric doll on the back of the jacket. Once the doll is all gussied up, they can wear the jacket out on the town or to an important birthday party, and feel appropriately frilly. With bright pink stitching and rhinestone studs, the Dress Me Jacket is part outerwear, part toy, and a meta-fashion experience for little stylistas.

Also, grandchildren can personalize a pair of Keds, or give a plain t-shirt some extra flare.
