Fisher-Price Turbo Fill Water Blasters

Especially made for preschoolers, the Turbo Fill Water Blaster offers the same super-charged fun as a big-kid version. The base connects to your garden hose, and functions as a quick refill station for the handheld water-shooting toy. The action doesn't require any pumping, so it's easy for little kids to manipulate, but the distance is huge: It shoots up to 30 feet.

Animal Scramble

This game lets your grandchildren show off their smarts and speed in an exciting and educational challenge. With Animal Scramble, you set the giraffe in the middle of the yard or play area, and space his animal friends around him. The giraffe gives clues on which animal to tag. For instance, your grandchildren rush to tag the elephant first when the giraffe asks, "Which animal is blue?" A perfect way for them to burn off their outdoor energy.

Fly Wheels

Though not a traditional backyard toy, we're recommending Fly Wheels as such for the sake of your glass vases or any other indoor breakables. The concept behind the toy is simple: A miniature plastic tire connects to a handheld dock, a zip-cord is inserted; when it's ripped-out, it propels the wheel forward at a super-fast speed. It's instantly delightful for kids "behind the wheel," just make sure they have plenty of space to launch!

Little Kids No-Spill Bubble Bucket

For lasting outdoor fun, it doesn’t get much simpler than bubbles, but it also gets pretty messy. The No-Spill Bubble Bucket is a large container that holds the soapy liquid, but doesn't spill when it's tipped, knocked over, or turned upside down, making the bucket almost as magical as the bubbles themselves. Three wands are included so more than one kid can play at a time.

Dora Beanbag Toss

Whether you call it "baggo" or "cornhole," a beanbag-toss is a backyard classic all grandchildren should learn. Spark their interest with this Dora Beanbag Toss a lightweight, foldable version complete with beanbag, four pockets, and a picture of jaunty little Dora.
