If, based on last summer’s visit to Little Italy, your grandchild thinks he's a pro at the ancient ballgame, you can challenge him to an indoor bocce match this winter. Following the same rules as traditional bocce, but eliminating the need for an outdoor court, Carpet Bocce requires only a floor and two players. Complete with different colored plastic pucks to serve as bocce balls, players slide their pieces across any surface (it actually doesn’t have to be a carpet) and win points for getting closest to the pallino. Sure, the game teaches the same type of geometry and physics as billiards, but in true Italian spirit, it’s most valued as a pleasant diversion.
This sounds like fun. Do the pucks have a weight in them. Can I get more detailed information?
Thank you!
