The Draw:
Pony rides are the main attraction at this dude ranch. The Catskills resort once served as headquarters for famed gangster Jack "Legs" Diamond until a 1971 fire leveled it, and the owners rebuilt it as the Rocking Horse. Now there are indoor and outdoor pools on the grounds, magic shows, and a children's nursery. But the kids will probaby best remember petting a baby zebra in the Animal House.

Travel Tip:
Always contact the hotel in advance to reserve baby gear and arrange for babysitters.
