The 50-minute tours of the world’s best-known news network include a look at the control room as well as a chance to see just how bluescreen technology allows meteorologists to point to digital maps swirling behind them. Educational opportunities — or, we mean interactive experiences — allow you and your grandchildren to view video clips of the top 100 news stories of the last 20 years. There’s even a journalism ethics exhibit. But the real laughter begins when your budding Paula Zahn gets behind a news desk to make a video of herself reading the news. Bonus: Newscasters will often drop by for a chat with guests, so you may catch a glimpse of Anderson Cooper, the man who put gray hair solidly into the “hottie” category.
