Tanglewood Farm is a place to celebrate the small things. In fact, the ten-acre Wild West Town is populated by more than 100 miniature farm animals, including sheep, cows, horses, and donkeys. Your grandchildren can pet and feed the animals as they explore the schoolhouse, jail, and livery stable, before going on a (full-size) pony ride at the end of the tour. There’s something to celebrate almost every month, from a benefit for needy kids in February to the Little Britches rodeo in July. Picnic tables are available, but you are encouraged to bring your own picnic blanket (and food). Hayrides as well as riding lessons and grooming lessons are also available.

Info: $9 per person, 1 and younger free, hayrides $5, riding lessons $45

Hours: Wednesday to Friday 10am to 2pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm, Monday and Tuesday closed

Age: Tdlr./Pre-Schl. (1-5), Elementary (5-9), Tween (9-12), Teen (12+)
