The Detroit Institute of Arts is one of the largest art museums in the US. In addition to their world-class permanent collection and attention-getting special exhibits, the DIA also offers drop-in workshops for all ages, studio art classes and summer camps. Show your grandchildren Diego Rivera’s Detroit Industry Murals, or come by on a Friday night, when the DIA has activities for the whole family, including drawing and storytelling. Free tours, self-guided and docent-led, are also available. The museum is currently closed, set to re-open on November 23rd.

Hours: Wednesday and Thursday 10am to 4pm, Friday 10am to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm, closed Monday and Tuesday
