The Scarab Club, which celebrates its centennial in 2007, is dedicated to the thriving community of artists of every stripe in the Detroit and Michigan communities, displaying their work in the museum year-round. Host to the Detroit Heritage Blues Series and a chamber music program, the Scarab club also offers weekly sketch sessions for a nominal fee. Depending on your grandchild's age, they can either enjoy looking at the art or grab an easel and make some of their own.
