A great opportunity to expand the horizons of the whole family using music as the point of departure, the Concert of Colors is not a single show; it's actually three free days of music held in July (in 2007 it's from the 19th until the 22nd) that live up to its billing as Detroit's annual diversity festival. Last year artists from Chile, Algeria, Japan, South Africa, and Senegal as well as the US and Canada were all represented on a single day! Held on two stages at the Max with a third stage outside, the festival also features a children's area where you and your grandkids can take crafts and music workshops, and food vendors with ethnic cuisine as diverse as the music.
