How will your grandkids learn about the ways that music sounds different outside if you don't take them to hear it there? DTE Energy Music Theatre (formerly Pine Knob) and the Meadow Brook Music Festival are the two major outdoor concert venues in the Metropolitan Detroit area. DTE books a blend of oldies (Legends of Motown, the Doobie Brothers) and current chart-toppers (Fall Out Boy, Montgomery Gentry) while Meadow Brook hosts the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for several concerts under the stars during the summer, in addition to a full slate of contemporary favorites drawn from country, pop and rock.
