20 years old in 2007, the Detroit People Mover is the Rodney Dangerfield of public transit, and riding it with your grandkids for fifty cents is the least you can do. It runs from 6:30am to midnight during the week and a round trip only takes 15 minutes. Each station has originally commissioned art, and the train stops at most of the downtown landmarks in its small geographical footprint. Just don't count on asking the driver for directions — there is no driver.
