Founded in 1973 as a non-profit environmental advocacy group, TreePeople’s headquarters in Coldwater Canyon Park at the peak of Mulholland Drive is a great place to stop for a casual hike, and to teach your grandchildren about the importance of environmentalism. Check the Web site for scheduled activities like tree-planting and moonlight hikes.
