This cute aquarium crowns the pier of one of LA’s most beautiful beaches. Clean and grandchildren-friendly, Manhattan Beach is the epitome of a California postcard. The Roundhouse has a touch tank with sea stars and urchins, a display of shark eggs, and giant eels that swim overhead through a tube between tanks. A stand outside sells hot dogs and sodas, but if you venture inland you’ll find a multitude of casual seafood restaurants and other seaside staples like ice cream stands.
