Full of more nooks and crannies than an English muffin and surrounded by waterfalls and Italian-style grottos, this pool was formed from a coral rock quarry in 1923. It’s listed in the National Registry of Historic Places and is frequently the site for model and movie shoots, so pre-teenage grandchildren will find this place fascinating. But because it’s filled with 820,000 gallons of spring water daily, non-toilet-trained babies and toddlers are strictly prohibited. Nervous grandparents who don’t like the idea of their grandchildren swimming through underwater caves - even though there are 2 lifeguards on duty - need not apply either. The Cafe at Venetian Pool provides a range of food and drink.
