Serving as a museum of history, art, and architecture, the Philipse Manor Hall is Westchester’s oldest standing building; the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation owns and operates it. Built around 1682 by Frederick Philipse the Hall gives you and your grandchildren an opportunity to experience a part of New York History. View 60 paintings from the Cochran Collection of American Portraiture, including those of Presidents of the United States, war heroes, historical figures, and members of the Philipse family. The museum also features 18th -century Georgian architecture, and a 1750’s papier mache Rococo ceiling.
