Located in Newport, two and a half hours from Portland, the Oregon Coast Aquarium is a is a world-class aquarium and marine science educational facility that exists within the environment it describes. Surrounded by an established woodland and located on an estuary next to the Pacific Ocean, the Aquarium exhibits the life forms and environment of the Oregon coast, including sea lions, sea otters, sharks, a giant Pacific octopus, and one of the largest marine aviaries in the nation.
