Ramona is proud of its most prominent citizen, Casey Tibbs. Ask any of Ramonan and they’ll tell you that he was the most famous rodeo cowboy who ever lived. Thus, it seems only fitting that the city name an annual rodeo in his honor. The Ramona Rodeo/Casey Tibbs Roundup is a May event that features four days of rodeo action (bareback riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, bull riding) and a boot-stomping good time for you and your grandkids. One day of the rodeo is set aside especially for them (one child 12 and younger is free per each paid adult admission) and features costume contests, a broomstick horse race, a youth bull riding barrel and more. In the immortal words of Casey Tibbs, “Let’er Buck.”
