Forum Post I watch my 14 month old, very inquisitive grandson, twice a week, and he just started wanting to search my purse. My question is, I'd really like to have a bag that he can just go through. Any ideas as to what it just contain and the size, big or little. He's very active, walking, talking and dancing at this point, so I'd really like to make it fun! Any suggestions, great!!!

How about a child's backpack and in it you could put toddler keys, toy cell phone, a child's wallet, a small book, flash light, some toys that move and a photo album with family pictures - the kind with a soft vinyl cover...you could change the items/pictures for each visit...

The first reply was a great one. Daddy wouldn"t approve of his having his own purse. When my children were young I got some shoe boxes and filled them with things that they had never seen before. Safe and not too small, plastic spatula , small sewing tape measure, rubber jar opener etc. You'll have fun finding these items. I called it a busy box. There was one downstairs, upstairs an in the car. It was saved for only those times when I absolutely needed a few quiet minutes.
Hope you try it, Diana dkatch@echoes.net

Thanks so much to Nana and Aunt Deedee, for your replies. I really gave up checking this post, thought no one would reply, but after all this time, voila~you two are angels~ I really think I'll try both of your ideas, one to bring with me when I babysit him, the backpack, is perfect, and the box, for my house, of treasures he can enjoy!

He's so inquisitive, and I want him to explore, safely. It's been 30 years since I've had a little one around, so this is a whole new and absolutely wonderful life experience for me. I never ever knew I could love someone , besides my own children, as much as I love him.

Ok nough rambling, but thanks so much girls.
