We had some great responses to the "Grandparent Name" question last week, so here's another.
What's the last thing your grandchild did that made you say awww?
Cute, funny, or sweet - feel free to post your response below. You can make them as long or as short as you want and there are no wrong answers!

She sucked her thumb in utero. She's not born yet but watching her wiggle around on that u/s screen got plenty of awwws and "how sweets" from the captive audience. Tina Funny_Farm_resident

My daughter,Granddaughter and I were in a store waiting on line and two ladies were talking to my Granddaughter. She had a toy with her and a piece of the clothing ripped while she was engrossed in her conversation. She stopped talking, looked sad for a moment and one of the ladies commented on what a shame it was, she thought for a moment, then said "That's okay. My Grandma can fix it. She can fix anything!" (Guess who helps me sew, holds the screwdriver, wrench, and nuts and bolts for Grandma!)

My daughter just had twins. Her 18-month-old son has been having a tough time adjusting and has become very dependant on pacifiers. The other day, when one of the twins was crying, he brought a pacifier to me to give to the baby. It tickled me that he was willing to share with the baby the one thing that gives him comfort right now.

Logan, my oldest grandchild at almost seven, gave me a bouquet of clover blooms--I would rather have had those, than arms full of the most rare orchids! That is the most recent, but (well, you asked) close in age, Nathan, at five, called and asked me to sing a song over the phone--his request to me was made so much sweeter than I can possibly type it here! What sweet, grand kids!

My 6 year old granddaughter was in my bathroom the other day and she picked up a seashell and said "Grandma, I know what kind of seashell this is, it's a crap shell and the craps live in there". I laughed so hard I cried.

After I admonished Jenna (20 mo) for misbehaving with a "No no, bad girl" big brother Zack, 4 1/2, took me by the hand, led me into the kitchen, and in a low, serious voice explained to me,"Don't say 'bad girl' to Jenna. She's just a baby and doesn't know." (Gee, I wonder where he picked that up?)
