Let The Sun Shine In

We have changed the words a little. I love it because it was easy to teach them and tells them the imporantance of keeping God in their hearts. This is the first verse: Grandma told me something a little girl should know. It's all about the devil and I learn to hate him so. She says he causes trouble when you let him in the room. And he'll never ever leave you if your heart is filled with gloom. So let the sun shine in, face it with a grin. Smilers never lose and frowners never win. So let the sun shine in. Face it with a grin. Open up your heart and let the sun shine in.

I'm Singing In The Rain

I sang this song (in a similar version) to my
grandson when he was just turning one. He
has since (he's four now) remembered the words
and dance that I did for him. He know always
connects the song to me and we dance and sing
it on every family occasion when we are together. He's a regular Gene Kelly!

"I Am a Child of God" This little song has come to have special meaning to me over the past four years. My special-needs granddaughter, born at about that time, loves to have me sing to her, and this is now her favorite song. Not only is it important for her to know how special she is; but she also needs to know that our family regards her as a beautiful little angel, sent to bless our lives.

Have Patience
I use to sing this to my children when they were little but can't remember all of it. If anyone knows the rest of the song Please post it for me.

There was a snail named Herbert who often got in trouble
Forgetting that he was an snail he did things on the double
He crashed through every spider web, with crickets he’d collied
Till one day Herbert’s father took his speeding son aside

Have patience, have patience. Don’t be in such a hurry.
When you get impatience you only start to worry.
Remember, remember, that God is patient too
and think of all the times when others had to wait on you.
