Groups are rockin'!

If you haven't gone to check out the new Groups section on the site you are really missing out! Here's the URL that you can cut and paste to find them. Also you can click the link at the top of our Discussions board. http://www.grandparents.com/gp/groups/index.html

ALERT!! We will be closing down this discussions board as of August 1. We will keep what has been posted up so you can review, go back and check out old discussions, but we need everyone to move into the new Groups area to keep the discussions going!

What do you think about a new Group that would take the place of our more "loose" conversations here? What would it be called? Anyone want to start it?

This discussion board has served us well, but the groups are terrific and have many advantages! There are 40 or more in all, so I'm sure everyone can find 1 or more that are right for them! Hope to see you all there, soon!

@CommunityGal - about the idea of a more general Group - Sounds cool, but don't we already have that, in different ways, with Dr. Georgia On Your Mind and Talking From The Heart?

@ Everyone - Ok, one more thought, here - I think this is a good place to point out that there are new groups cropping up "every day." For example, just recently, someone started a group called Teen Music (to help us better understand teen grandkids music choices). If you click on the large word GROUPS above, top, right, next to TOOLS, and then Arts and Entertainment, you'll find it. Love gardening? Somebody just set up a group for Gardeners (under Just For Fun). And another recently created group is Grandma's Autistic Angels (just key it into Search box, above, right). Still another is Grandparents of Gay Families (under Family Matters). Etc.

So please don't assume that the group you want isn't there, just b/c it wasn't when you looked in May or even a week or 2 ago. Take another look. (And of course, if you still don't see it, you can start your own.)
