Today's Extraordinary Grandparents
OFFICIAL RULES
Eligibility – Only legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia residing in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico and all other territories) may apply. You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submitting the Application. Minors must have their parent or legal guardian submit this Application for them using the name of the parent or legal guardian. Employees, officers, and directors of Grandparents.com ("Producer") and/or its subsidiaries and sponsors (collectively the "Program Entities"); their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, and marketing agencies; their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, or spouse), and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to apply. The decisions of the Producer and Program Entities are final and binding in all respects.
While every application will be reviewed, we cannot respond to every application. Moreover, anything you send us will not be returned and becomes the property of Grandparents.com.
Required Releases – If selected as a potential winner of Today's Extraordinary Grandparents on Grandparents.com (the "Program"), the grandparent listed in this application must execute all waivers, release, and consent agreements required by the Producer and/or Program Entities. Moreover, before being declared the winner, the nominee must submit a photograph of themselves to the Producer.
Application Process Start Dates – Completed applications will be accepted after 12 am EST on March 1, 2011.
Application Due Date – Completed applications must be submitted no later than 12 pm EST on June 3, 2011. Unfortunately, we will not be able to verify that we have received your application. Grandparents.com is not responsible for lost applications.
Application Requirements – Applications will only be considered if they are complete. Complete applications consist of an online application, including the description of the nominee essay (not to exceed 200 words). Until a nominee is identified as a potential finalist, supplying a photo is optional.
PHOTO FORMAT MUST BE IN JPG OR GIF. NOT TO EXCEED 6 MEGABYTES IN SIZE. VIDEO FORMAT MUST BE IN MOV OR WMV.
Alternative Entry – If you want to submit your nomination by mail, please provide all of the information requested on the online application form on a single 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and mail it to:

Application Materials – All materials you send (including DVDs, videotapes, photos, and/or any other media) will be retained by Grandparents.com, and become the property of Grandparents.com and will not be returned to you regardless of whether your nominee is selected. Any expenses you incur during the application process, including postage, shipping, materials preparation (videotape, photos, etc.), are your sole responsibility. Grandparents.com will not reimburse you for these expenses. You may nominate as many grandparents as you like, but no person may be nominated by you more than once. All decisions of Grandparents.com are final and absolute and not subject to inquiry.
Selection Process – The Producer and Program Entities have sole and absolute discretion in picking participants. For the avoidance of doubt, any entry that does not describe how the nominee is doing something extraordinary in the life of at least one of his or her grandchildren shall not be considered.
CERTIFICATION
By submitting this application, you hereby agree that you have read and understand the Eligibility Requirements. You represent and warrant that the answers provided by you in the foregoing application questions are true, complete, and correct; that you have completed this application honestly and accurately; and understand, acknowledge, and agree that if any of the information in this application is found to be false or incomplete, this will be grounds for dismissal of yourself or the person you are nominating from the participant selection process and/or from Today’s Extraordinary Grandparents.
You further acknowledge that if your nominee is selected for further consideration, both you and the nominee will be required to complete and sign additional application materials, release forms, and other documents. The Producer and Program Entities may use the information in this form for any purpose at their sole discretion. You hereby agree to keep strictly confidential all information about Today’s Extraordinary Grandparents that you acquire during the participant selection process and/or your participation in Today’s Extraordinary Grandparents.
