What is the greatest thing about being a grandparent?

The everyday joy of seeing my grandchildren learn or experience new things; one is 3 years old the other 5. Its all the "little" things we as adults take for granted, that these wonderous new little lives bring a whole new perspective to. They are the joy of my life!

I do not remeber what my life was like before my granddaughter was born, who is now three! She is my life! I see her several times a week as my son and daughter in law have bought the house right behind ours! I say its a blessing, a dream come true-even if others don't see it this way, always a dependable babysitter around! I love gardening, cooking and crafty things and have encouraged my granddaughter to "help" and experience my hobbies with me.Just like my grandmother showed me. I have learned to be patient beyond belief, and answer a hundred "why" questions constantly. The love for a grandchild is like no other!
