What is the greatest thing about being a grandparent?

Gosh, I'm torn between just having this marvelous little girl to love and seeing traits of her dad and mom in her -- she has her daddy's height and her mama's pretty face.

I live in New England with my husband and two cats. We have two sons and one grandchild. Our grandbaby and her parents live on the West Coast! Boo hoo! Lots of coast-to-coast visits. Fortunately our other son and his wife live here in Massachusetts.

My husband's a novelist and I'm an editor. We're both sailors and travelers. Our dream is to sell the house, buy a boat to live on, and travel the world. (Looking into life vests for the cats:))
