What is the greatest thing about being a grandparent?
It is the best thing in the world, until you have to raise them and play mom and dad, then you don't really get to be a grandparent like you'r'e supposed to be.
If you want to get to know me, I would start by telling you...
I am a 44 yr old grandmother raising 3 grandkids, ages 2,6 & 8,
I was self-employed but had to shut my business down to take care of the kids, so now I stay at home. The 6 yr old is special needs and is very challenging, so needless to say I am majorly stressed out, I don't get out much unless I am taking one or more to Dr., therapy, or counseling or going to the grocery store. Sometimes I feel like I want to run away, just to get a break, Mom has just came back around, but doesn't help out much, so that;s an added stress. I don't even think I know how to have an actual adult conversation anymore. And my husband just does not understand why I feel like I do. Does anyone else feel like this or am I just crazy?
