This is a very interesting article, IMO. I would just caution people about one thing: Don't become TOO wedded to any plan for how you're going to spend your retirement years. Stuff happens that you (general) just can't predict. A son or daughter loses their job and moves back home, sometimes with kids (your grandkids) in tow. Sadly a spouse or significant other takes seriously ill or, worse, passes away. Maybe you find yourself, unfortunately, getting divorced - of happily remarried! Or a granchild comes along sooner than you expected and you can't beat to make that move across the country, after all. Or. the parents ask you to be the new child's caregiver when they go back to work and you find yourself saying "Yes"...

Speaking of which... If you're a GP (or other relative) caregiver, I invite you to come and join us in the Community at Grandparents Caring for Grandkids. Just click on Community at the very top or bottom of this page and then scroll down the Index and you'll find us. Or key in this link at the top of your screen: http://community.grandparents.com/index.php/forum/15-grandparents-caring-for-grandkids.

And if you're new to this site or the Community, don't forget to check out Club Newcomer on the Index, as well! Would love to have you!

This one really touched me. I was reminded of how much courage and gumption it takes to forgive and particularly to tell those I'm forgiving.
