Dedicated to "anyone who's ever been caught with a finger in the mixing bowl", Lindsay Landis' Cookie Dough Lovers Cookbook is a treat for bakers and dessert lovers alike.
Inspired by a popular post on her food blog, Love and Olive Oil, featuring cookie dough, Landis developed recipes using the sweet, uncooked treat, and the book idea grew from there.
Each recipe features homemade (and egg free) raw cookie dough, which Landis developed using milk, which keeps the texture of the dough the same, without the risk of food-borne illness.
"I grew up baking chocolate chip cookies with my mom, and licking the batter was always the best part. There's no denying that my mom's chocolate chip cookies were the greatest, but I always preferred the cookie dough to the final product," Landis says.
