Super Ship No. 1: The Ruby Princess

A cornucopia of activities for kids, ages 3 to 17

By Ludmilla Alexander

Princess Cruises' The Ruby Princess and other ships in its  "Grand Class" category  take pride in the extensive programs for children, ages 3-7, 8-12, and 13-17, respectively. While the youngest participants take part in pizza parties and pajama nights, older grandchildren enjoy video games,  arts and crafts, and jukeboxes. The ship also features a splash pool and arcade. Princess ships sail to all seven continents.

Cruising Tips

Before you sign up for a cruise, make sure that the children's programs you are interested in are offered on that itinerary.

Consider bringing walkie-talkies (and plenty of extra batteries) to keep in touch with your grandkids during the day.

Don't forget to tip the youth counselors who help entertain your grandchildren aboard ship.
