Lady Finger

A fashionable take on the original finger puppet.

By Sherri Lerner

[photo cover max-width=150 align=right]There's no waiting for this designer diva, featured in Noel MacNeal's 10-Minute Puppets (Workman). Make up her face, throw on a napkin, and she's dressed for anything.

Materials:

  • Washable marker
  • Napkin, handkerchief, or scarf
  • Your hand

Instructions:

  1. Draw a face on the tip of your index finger.
  2. Fold the napkin, handkerchief, or scarf in half diagonally and drape the center of the folded edge over the top of your finger, allowing the face to show.
  3. To complete her dress, wrap the rest of the fabric around your hand and tuck the ends under your other three fingers and thumb.
