Napkin Bunny

When dinner's delayed and the kids are antsy, it's rabbit to the rescue.

By Sherri Lerner

With only three props required (one of which is conveniently located at the end of your arm), this super-simple bunny, featured in Noel MacNeal's 10-Minute Puppets (Workman), is all you need to distract hungry diners.

Materials:

  • Large cloth napkin
  • Rubber band
  • Your hand

Instructions:

  1. Bend your wrist and move your fingertips and thumb tip together to form a talking mouth shape.
  2. Drape the napkin squarely over your hand.
  3. Take one corner and pull it up in between your index and middle fingers. This is one ear.
  4. Take the other corner , wrap it around the other side of your hand, and pull it up between your ring and middle fingers. This creates the other ear.
  5. For the finishing touch, wrap the rest of the napkin around your wrist and place the rubber band over it.
