How about some exercises that will get us strong enough to do these exercises. Starting out with these will only make one quit by the next day. There needs to be a starting point with progressively more advanced exercises. These are not the starting point, as others have noted. If one cannot get up off the floor, then they need easier things until they can get the strength to get up.

I have a question. I have had my right knee replaced twice in 4 years and I am in my 50's. The doctor told me I was not to kneel, not to squat, weight bearing of 15 lbs.,this sort of makes any form of exercise a little impossible. Of course, I am not behaving and I pay dearly for it. Because now I have also developed painful varicose veins in both legs since the surgery and after standing or walking the pain is unbearable. Do you think I should try these? the doctor said, walking, swimming and bike riding which aggravate the veins. I was attempting Yoga, but after a couple of weeks, It was too much kneeling, then they were getting into squats, I thought I'd better stop. I am going to see about getting the veins getting taken care of when I see my family doctor.
